What's up with the cellos?

The Suzuki cellists have been quite busy performing and winning auditions!

Congratulations to Ella Smullen and Annabelle Fuerst who were chosen to solo on "Spotlight On Youth," Sunday March 4, 3pm at WMU Dalton Center Lecture Hall.

The Grace Notes 2 performed last Saturday before the Symphony Concert at Chenery Auditorium to a very appreciative audience. They will also be featured on Bravo's radio program Thursday March 1, in the Judy Jolliffe Theater at the Epic center. The program starts at 7pm. In addition, ten advanced cellists from Chicago are traveling to Kalamazoo on April 14  to play and perform with the Grace Notes. It will be a full day of performances, master classes, talks and a final concert at 4pm. All events will be at Second Reformed Church on Stadium Dr. and are open to the public.

The 5pm group class will be featured on Sunday April 22 at the Yorkville Church in Richland.

Richard Narroway, our favorite cellist, will host a masterclass for the cello program sometime in March or April. Richard will receive his Doctorate in Cello Performance in May from the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
